"The Exhibition as a Space for Reconstructing Memory in Post-2000 Romania investigates the ways in which contemporary curatorial practices have critically engaged with cultural heritage and historiographical discourse to recontextualize historical narratives within the Romanian post-socialist and post-2000 framework.

Through the examination of selected case studies encompassing the work of curators alongside both independent initiatives and institutional projects, the presentation will articulate the exhibition’s potential as a site of critical inquiry, historiographic reconstruction, and socio-cultural negotiation. Emphasis will be placed on curatorial strategies ranging from archival activation to participatory methodologies, situating these within broader debates in contemporary art and critical theory.
The lecture will be delivered in English and will conclude with a Q&A session, enabling a dialogic engagement with the audience.
