Subversive is an artistic expression through which the exhibitors show their creativity by working with elements inspired by people from their past who had a significant impact on their artistic journey. Group Ap.6 approaches the subject of the formation of the personality of an artist through the influences accumulated in the past from various contexts with a strong formative effect felt in both a positive and negative variant.

The characters mentioned/quoted and present in the past of the artists are depicted as different components who directed the artists on a certain path in an indirect but consistent way, and all of them have something in common - the visual arts. Poems, images, objects, paintings which belonged to these characters clearly belonging to the 2000s, with an intentional kitsch and local imprints which belong to the past, but which are now part of the personality of each artist, were incorporated and reinterpreted in Subversive.
An archeology at the heart of the notion of family, the exhibition takes the viewer on a journey through the excavated ruins of the connections each artist has with a family member, with a fragment of common history, documenting the past through the fluidity of the present.
Exhibited as a site where seemingly disparate elements, once reunited, retrospectively and temporally document amalgamated histories, the artists urge us to imagine each installation as an artifact that narrates a sensation, an emotion, a memory, exploring the visual memory closely linked to the affective one.
By extracting and framing the memory, without aesthetification or contextualization, which pursues the romantic rendering of reality, and most often, involves masking the truth, each artist undertakes his speech without making a satirical statement about the past. Objects considered obsolete or even part of the kitsch culture which are thrown away and replaced with different ones by most people, build a part of their identity structure, regardless of the geographical location.
More than a self-diary, each aspect of memory is, in fact, a way of self-organization, of one's own human and artistic existence which actively integrates the past, the family, the genealogy not only in order to archive the family history into the present, but also to encourage each of us to interact with our own memories, landmarks, symbols, to recognise our identity and specificity, even if this means admitting that we are not, by any means, perfect.
Ruxandra Mărgineanu carries within herself meetings which did not take place but which influenced her through her great-grandfather's paintings, who kept them in an affective memory. Ioana Mihai proposes a poetic version - literally and figuratively - reinterpreting in a visual manner the poems of her grandfather which have always been in the drawer but which now have gained not only visibility, but also a voice. Laura Stoica reiterated a time capsule in the form of a suitcase which refers to a journey to a common time, hers and her uncle's, which determined her passion for art. Radu Mihai Tanasa identifies the notion of home with his grandfather's life experience, who maintained a constant relationship of support and trust with the artist.
Această expoziţie numită SUBVERSIV propune o explorare artistică a relaţiei dintre influenţa anumitor agenți sau experiențe asupra dezvoltării artistice cu un puternic caracter autobiografic.
